Spring 2012 from Sketches to Wedding Dresses

See how some of our favorite designers turned their ideas into bridal realities from sketches to wedding dresses for spring 2012 collection. Above, voluminous three-dimensional floral detailing and ornate beadwork gown. Below, layered asymmetrical pickup skirt and a textured ruffle cascading across the body into a single shoulder strap.

The gown draws on popular styles from the decade surrounding the original Cinderella film. The skirt is made up of asymmetric tulle layers, which is paired with a jewel-embellished bodice.

Hand embroidery featuring chiffon and crystals frames the neckline and covers the peplum skirt that sits atop a columned skirt with a train.

Strapless mermaid lace and tulle form a pleated bodice and a trumpet skirt that are hand-embroidered with organza flowers, crystals and scallop lace.
